The Development

John Southworth and Mosscare St. Vincent’s Housing worked collaboratively on this new and exciting Passivhaus scheme, consisting of 22 three-bedroom homes in a mixed tenure of 10 rent to buy and 12 affordable-rent.

Situated just a short distance away, complementing our Parkmount Road site, Princedom Street is another certified Passivhaus scheme, benefitting from off-road parking and energy-saving features including Hot Water Heat Pumps and EV Charging Points, all to reduce energy consumption and bills for tenants. Additionally, the heating in the homes is powered by a Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery System (MVHR), providing fresh, clean and comfortable air all year along.

Located in Harpurhey, just over two miles from the city centre of Manchester, the development provides easy access to the motorway network and public transport. The area benefits from local schools, shops and entertainment facilities.

An array of fresh produce, homewares, clothing, jewellery and accessories, can be found at the community market nearby, also host to local events and activities. Catering for young people is a Youth Zone offering a safe space for young people, to practice Art, Cooking, Drama, Music and Sports and includes media suites, a climbing wall and sensory room. Queens Park, a cherished local green space with its football pitches, play areas and trails is on hand for those wanting a slower pace. All of which make Harpurhey a great place for families to live.

Yet another development forming part of the Project 500 scheme, Princedom transformed a disused, grassland brownfield site into a new, vibrant community providing much-needed homes to the area.
