The Development

John Southworth and Weaver Vale Housing Trust worked collaboratively on this new and exciting scheme, delivering twelve traditional 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroomed houses and four walk-up apartments for social rent.

The development benefits from off-road parking and EV charging points, along with energy saving features including air source heat pumps and solar PV (on selected properties), in its aim to reduce energy consumption and lower household bills for tenants.

Located in Leftwich, just over one mile from the centre of Northwich, the development provides easy access to the motorway network and public transport. The area also benefits from local schools, shops and entertainment facilities.

The historic and peaceful suburb of Leftwich sits nestled amongst scenic waterways and green spaces, offering plenty of walks to be enjoyed by all. Just a short walk away, Leftwich Meadows, on the western bank of the River Dane, offers its imposing Oak, Sycamore and Ash Trees and scatterings of classic English meadow flowers.

For those wishing for a faster pace? Leftwich is home to an array of local venues offering food, drink, live music and entertainment, making it a great place to live.

This debuts as the first social rent development Weaver Vale have built and brought to market and is supported by Homes England through grant funding from its Affordable Housing Programme. The development not only transforms a former brownfield site into much-needed homes but serves as part of a wider programme to increase the number of affordable homes available across Cheshire and Warrington.
