On Friday 22 September ’23, the team from John Southworth visited their charity of the year – Kinder Mountain Rescue Team, to take part in some basic training such as map reading and basic route planning, which are always useful skills to have.

The day also gave the opportunity to present the charity with the £1970 raised from the recent Triathlon that the team completed.

Steven Brown, MD days, “Working to support this local, volunteer led charity is something that we are really proud to be able to do – the team’s 50 members are all unpaid volunteers, giving up their free time to attend call-outs, to train and to undertake fund-raising. As a self-funded charity they rely on public donations and other similar sources of income to cover the team’s annual running costs of over £35,000 per year. We are looking forward to more fundraising over the year.”
