We are delighted to announce that John Southworth has been shortlisted in the “Excellence in Construction (SME Category)” at the prestigious Considerate Constructors Scheme Awards 2025.
The awards celebrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and contributions to the construction industry. This year’s ceremony will take place on 21 November 2025 at the Natural History Museum, where the best in the sector will gather to recognise outstanding achievements.
Our shortlisting reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire John Southworth team, as well as our ongoing commitment to raising standards across the industry through responsible, community-focused construction.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) highlighted several areas of best practice over the last twelve months, including:
Excellent conformance in minimising environmental impact and enhancing the natural environment
Work placements provided to support new talent entering the industry
Collaboration with colleges and universities to offer training, placements, and apprenticeships
Respecting the community through considerate site management and clear, transparent communication
Supporting a diverse, inclusive, and healthy workplace, including training on modern slavery and autism awareness
Strong commitments to reducing energy use and minimising waste on site
Exceeding our Social Value Targets, helping local groups and individuals
Charitable donations to local projects and foodbanks
These achievements underline our mission to align construction projects with construction priorities, ensuring lasting positive impacts for people, places, and the planet.
“Being shortlisted for this award is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work of everyone at John Southworth. It reflects our shared commitment to excellence, community engagement, and environmental responsibility. We’re proud to be recognised among the best in the industry.”
