The Development

John Southworth and Jigsaw Homes worked collaboratively on this new and exciting scheme, delivering nine 2 and 3 bedroomed timber-framed houses in Moston, Manchester for affordable rent. The development benefits from off-road parking and energy-saving features including Air Source Heat Pumps and EV Charging Points. In addition, the surrounding area, enhanced with sustainable landscaping, has a total of eight trees and a communal open space with wildflower area.

Conveniently located in Moston, just over three miles northeast of Manchester, the development provides easy access to the motorway network and public transport. The area also benefits from local schools, shops and entertainment facilities.

There is no shortage of things to do in Moston, with plenty of local parks including Moston Fairway Nature Reserve, a tranquil urban space offering opportunities for birdwatching, wildlife photography and spotting wildflowers and butterflies. Moston Brook is also located close by, the perfect place for walking and nature trails. Broadhurst Park is on hand to offer open spaces and children’s play equipment for children, making Moston a great place for families to live.

This development is yet another we have built, forming part of the Project 500 scheme, led by Manchester City Council, its aim to transform derelict, brownfield sites into new, vibrant communities, bringing much-needed, quality family homes to the Manchester area at an affordable rent.

Committed to adding social value

John Southworth don’t just build homes; they are committed to building and contributing to communities.

  • Work placements offered to nearby Tameside College for Brickwork and Joinery.
