The Ridgeway Achieves Excellent 45/45 Considerate Constructors Score

Our Ridgeway development in Runcorn has achieved an Excellent 45/45 score following its latest Considerate Constructors Scheme visit.

The scheme, being delivered for Onward Homes, consists of 12 new one and two-bedroom apartments across three storeys, alongside associated external works including parking, landscaping and a new access road.

Following a recent site visit from Considerate Constructors Scheme Monitor Jo Rieny, the project received full marks across all three categories:

Respect the Community15/15
Care for the Environment15/15
Value their Workforce15/15

The report highlighted the strong leadership shown by the site team and particular praise was given to the way community impact is managed, the site’s environmental awareness and the continued focus on workforce wellbeing.

The report also recognised a number of positive initiatives taking place on the project, including workforce training around considerate construction practices, carbon awareness toolbox talks, local labour engagement, careers support activities and awareness campaigns around mental health, alcohol misuse and suicide prevention.

The Ridgeway team has also been working with local organisations and education providers, including Tameside College, Salford University and a local secondary school, helping to promote careers in construction through placements, training opportunities and skills events.

The monitor’s report described the site as demonstrating “an excellent level of compliance” and praised the project’s commitment to supporting both the workforce and the surrounding community.

A big well done to everyone involved in the project!
