We are a well-established construction company based in Dukinfield, seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk/ Accounts Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day financial processes. This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who thrives in a busy SME environment and has a strong understanding of construction industry finance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recording, processing, and reconciling supplier invoices
  • Ensuring timely supplier payments
  • Creating and issuing accurate customer invoices
  • Handling CIS (SC60) returns and records
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Daily banking and reconciliation
  • Managing general bookkeeping and account administration
  • Working closely with the company director and site teams
  • (Optional) Assisting with payroll processing

About You:

  • Proven experience in a similar accounts role within the construction sector
  • Comfortable working in a small to medium-sized business
  • Proficient in Sage 50 Accounts
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Knowledge of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) is essential
  • Experience with payroll is desirable, but not essential
